Established in 1991, the Australian Journal of Human Rights is the first journal of its kind in Australia to be devoted to the publication of articles, commentary and book reviews about human rights development in Australia, the Asia Pacific region and internationally. The “A’ ranked Journal, is published twice a year and aims to monitor and provide a forum for scholarship and debate about contemporary human rights developments in Australia and globally.
The Journal adopts a broad-based multidisciplinary approach to human rights issues, focusing not only on the legal aspects of human rights but also the philosophical, historical, economic and political dimensions.
Journal articles are subject to a peer review process.
